Park Chenaur & Associates LLP is offering a $1,500 scholarship to law students seeking a career in personal injury litigation. Our firm places a high value on diversity. Having members within the firm who analyze issues from different perspectives and have had a varied life and background experiences is something that benefits every relationship, whether client or co-worker. We are fortunate to have clients from all walks of life. Access to honest, zealous representation is so important. One barrier for clients can often be language. We, therefore, have taken pride in representing the Korean-speaking, Vietnamese-speaking, and Spanish-speaking communities for over 20 years. In order to apply, please write a 500-1000 word essay with original content, examining how either of these cases will affect jury trials going forward:
- State v. Berhe, 444 P.3d 1172 (2019); or
- State v. Zamora, slip opinion 9959-07-01, decided on Jun. 30, 2022.
Scholarship Selection & Eligibility
Our partners will review all essays received by December 31, 2022. A decision as to the winner will be made within six weeks following the submission deadline. The winning essay will then be posted on our website blog. Only one winner will be awarded the scholarship, however, other notable essays may also be posted at some later date.
- Must be enrolled at Seattle University for the Spring semester (starts Jan 9)
Steps to Apply For the Scholarship
In order to apply, please write a 500-1000 word essay with original content, examining how either of these cases will affect jury trials going forward:
- State v. Berhe, 444 P.3d 1172 (2019); or
- State v. Zamora, slip opinion 9959-07-01, decided on Jun. 30, 2022
- You must submit your essay using the form below before December 31st, 2022.
- The winners will be announced six weeks following the submission deadline and will be notified by phone and email.
- The winner will receive $1,500 to be deposited directly to Seattle University.
Ownership of Essay
All essay entries submitted to Park Chenaur & Associates LLP, along with all copyright, trademark, and other proprietary rights associated with the written submission, become the property of Park Chenaur. By submitting an essay, you acknowledge that Park Chenaur will own all rights to publish and promote the content.
